Dear Fourth grade Families,
I am so excited to be joining your child on his or her journey through school. Fourth grade is an exciting time for your child and an important part of setting up future success in math in school.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ashley Clenney and I currently live in Mathis, Texas and I graduated from Perryton High School. From there I went on to Del Mar Junior College to earn an Associate of Arts in Child Development and to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Elementary Education. I have been teaching for eleven years and have enjoyed every moment. I started my career in Odem, Texas, where I taught second, third, and fourth grade with a focus on language arts and reading. My family moved to the Houston in 2012, and I accepted a position with Spring ISD as a third and second grade teacher reading teacher. I had the privilege of teaching for Spring ISD for five years. I am the mother of a fourth grade son, named Mason, who attends OEISD, and I am married to the love of my life Valentin. We enjoy watching movies, outside and sporting activities, and lots of family time.
I look forward to getting to know each student and supporting them in learning and growing daily. I believe that parents are a child’s original teacher and are the largest influence on their life.
If you need to contact me you may send a note, e-mail me at , or phone the school at 361-368-8121 ext 268. My conference period is from 10:35-11:25 daily. I look forward to hearing from each of you and learning about your child!

Looking forward to a GREAT year,

Ashley Clenney
